Information Systems Security Analyst
Location: Dahlgren, VA
Job Description This role provides specialized Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity support for the SCSTC domain. The Analyst assists the Command Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Officer (ISSO) in the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process. Responsibilities include evaluating new systems against RMF requirements, creating Security Assessment Plans (SAP), and conducting security control assessments to support the achievement of an Authority to Operate (ATO).
Required Skills and Experience
Four (4) years of experience in Cybersecurity
Expertise in cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities, as well as encryption algorithms (e.g., IPSEC, AES, 3DES)
Technical proficiency in computer networking concepts, network analysis methods, protocols (TCP/IP), and security methodologies
Experience with data backup and recovery concepts and tools
Experience with penetration testing
Experience with disaster recovery and continuity of operations planning
Expertise in data security standards including: Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Information (PCI), and Protected Health Information (PHI)
Experience with enterprise incident response
Experience with cloud security strategy, architecture, and deployment models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
Knowledge of national and international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and ethics
Education/Certification Must possess a
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
(Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP, and GICSP)
Security Active
Secret clearance
required at hire
Citizenship U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience as a Fully Qualified Corporate Navy Validator
Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CASP+
Practical experience using tools such as eMASS, ACAS, HBSS, and VRAM to track security posture
