Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
As an Assistant Project Manager in the Construction industry, you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating OSHPD projects to ensure timely and successful completion. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for project management.
An established, nationally respected Employee‑Owned general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support complex healthcare construction projects throughout Southern California. This opportunity is ideal for an early‑to‑mid‑career construction professional looking to grow within a collaborative, values‑driven organization known for delivering technically challenging work.
Description Working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, you will be involved in all phases of construction delivery, with a strong emphasis on OSHPD/HCAI‑regulated healthcare projects.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
Support procurement, subcontractor buyout, and contract administration
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Coordinate with design teams, inspectors, and regulatory authorities
Track compliance with OSHPD/HCAI requirements and reporting processes
Participate in jobsite meetings and support field operations as needed
Profile
Proven experience working on OSHPD/HCAI healthcare projects (hospital, acute care, or similar regulated facilities)
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong understanding of construction documentation and project controls
Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
