Responsibilities
Manage high-volume calls and coordinate office communication flow.
Greet and assist visitors; ensure accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
Schedule appointments, tests, and follow-ups; verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations.
Collect and reconcile patient payments; prepare and review billing sheets for accuracy.
Direct billing inquiries and ensure timely submission of outpatient billing sheets.
Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver courteous, professional service.
Must be able to travel to satellite office during the week. Mileage is reimbursable.
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
3+ years of recent medical office experience preferred.
Industry:
Healthcare.
Skills / Abilities:
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in computer systems; prior experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, insurance regulations, and safety practices preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and handle stressful situations professionally.
