Job Objective This position assists the Branch Manager in delivering exceptional service with a focus on teller operations, achieving organizational goals, branch growth, staff development, implementing policies and procedures, and upholding the credit union’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position reports directly to the Branch Manager. The following staff may report directly or indirectly to the Branch Supervisor:

Directly: Branch Senior – Teller I‑II‑III

Indirectly: Personal Financial Representative I‑II‑III

Nature & Scope

Trains, coaches, and monitors staff to meet or exceed branch and individual sales and service goals.

Assigns, monitors, and reviews work assignments of staff to ensure completion of duties according to established procedures and timeframes.

Recommends and implements procedures, effectively communicating new programs, policies and procedures.

Provides effective training, cross‑training, counseling, performance appraisals and motivation to develop employees.

Monitors employees’ attendance, job performance and conduct, and recommends disciplinary action when appropriate.

Maintains adequate staffing levels by scheduling employee work hours and approving or disapproving time off.

Assists with interviews of new employees and promotion of existing employees.

Assigns and completes various departmental side‑jobs and maintains department records.

Assists with overall maintenance and appearance of department facilities, ensuring a safe and professional environment.

Exercises discretion and independent decision‑making to ensure branch growth and soundness.

Conducts regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance teamwork, information sharing and productivity.

Ensures all correspondence is professional and accurate.

Manages cash drawer when required, may serve as a notary, process consumer and real estate loans, and ensure loan documents meet underwriter stipulations.

Manages loan queues to ensure approved loans are funded.

Supports training for Shared Branches to ensure staff knowledge of unique FSCC policies and procedures.

Collaborates with the Business Development Department, participates in community and partnership events, and ensures branch compliance with internal audit and BSA/AML procedures.

Performs other relevant and related duties as required.

Other Education, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Financial Services preferred or up to 5 years equivalent financial industry experience; minimum 2 years branch supervisory experience required.

Maintains registration as Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) as required by the SAFE Act.

Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills, with sound judgment and decision‑making.

Knowledgeable in sales and service, branch operations, lending, regulations and security procedures.

Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train, develop and motivate others; professional and positive attitude at all times.

Works effectively with coworkers, follows work rules and procedures, accepts constructive criticism, and leads and manages others.

Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays and evenings to accommodate branch, Business Development and Community Relations functions.

Operates standard business machines such as computer, printer, fax, copier and telephonic devices.

Major Accountabilities

Supports Branch Manager to ensure sales and service goals are met.

Supervises branch operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance.

Motivates, coaches, trains and mentors staff to excel and achieve goals.

Adheres to cash, key and dual‑control policies and procedures.

Adheres to security and robbery procedures.

Complies with all other policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for long periods of sitting/standing, with occasional walking.

Ability to use keyboard, mouse and other peripherals.

Environmental Conditions

Work is primarily performed within an office setting. Subject to standard background noise found in an office environment.

Notes Staff is expected to perform various tasks, projects and administrative duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to assign or change duties and tasks at their discretion.
