Cardiac Telemetry Nurse – CommonSpirit Health – CHI St. Vincent, Arkansas
Job Summary & Responsibilities As our Cardiac Telemetry Nurse at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, you’ll care for patients who may have life‑threatening cardiac events, post‑procedural recovery, and receive patients from the Cath Lab PACU while helping their families navigate daily care and the long‑term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital. The role is dynamic; you must adapt to evolving patient needs, be detail‑oriented, and report early warning signs to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals. You are expected to use critical thinking skills and strong assessment abilities to go the extra mile for patients and to provide continuous care improvements.
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for assigned patients.
Administers medications, changes therapeutic dressings, monitors vital signs, prepares patients for procedural interventions, educates patients and families regarding the disease process and interventions, and charts with timely documentation.
Collaborates with social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging teams.
Utilizes multiple nurse-driven protocols allowing some autonomy for the prudent nurse.
Evaluates and implements treatment plans for the heart failure patient population.
We are offering a
sign-on bonus up to $25,000
to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Additional pay is available for participation in our clinical ladder, referral bonuses, tuition reimbursement, relocation assistance, and other benefits.
Job Requirements
Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas.
Six months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program).
Previous cardiac experience is preferred, but not required.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required depending on the unit.
