The Character Craftworker will be responsible for helping bring our characters to life. The role requires an artistic paint background, a keen eye for color, and an aptitude for working with their hands. Candidates must have a basic understanding of liquid measurements and mixing, excellent hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to wear a cartridge respirator, an air‑supplied hood, safety eye protection, hearing protection, and steel‑toed shoes at all times in the shop. Candidates must follow work plans and adhere to an allocated schedule.

Responsibilities

Create and repair character heads and accessories

Work with multiple media

Safely operate small‑scale machines such as rotomold and vacuum‑form machines and utilize a variety of hand tools

Paint with a variety of techniques such as spray painting, airbrushing, and line work

Basic Qualifications

Knowledge of spraying and mixing of water‑based, urethane, and acrythane paints

Proven work experience with line painting, airbrushing, spray guns, priming, and clear coats

Experience with assembly and precision trimming of urethane and fiberglass

Familiarity and competence with tools such as dremels, sanders, rivet guns, drills, and other tools as needed

Previous experience with a variety of fabrics and processes such as gluing, following patterns, and cutting

Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Schedule Availability Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
