Angels Homecare is seeking a skilled and motivated
Agency Manager
to oversee and
optimize
the daily operations of our home care agency. This role is responsible for supporting office staff and care coordinators, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining compliance, and continuously improving internal systems and processes.
The Agency Manager is expected to identify operational challenges independently, develop solutions, and bring clear recommendations to leadership. This position reports directly to the
COO and Owner .
Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Administrative Oversight
Oversee day-to-day agency operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality
Ensure internal workflows, scheduling, and communication function smoothly
Review, maintain, and update the Standard Office Procedure manual, ensuring all required management tasks and instructions are clearly documented and accessible
Develop, implement, and continuously improve agency policies and procedures
Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and agency standards
Team Management & Support
Manage and support office staff, including care coordinators and administrative team members
Serve as an escalation point for complex client or caregiver concerns
Hire and terminate caregivers as needed to maintain quality and reliability
Review and approve time-off requests for office staff
Foster accountability, consistency, and a solutions-oriented team culture
Monitor and approve company expenses
Support payroll and financial processes using QuickBooks
Manage vendor relationships and oversee all second-party contracts for the Agency
Oversee payments to all vendors and second-party contracts, ensuring timely payment via check, credit card, or automatic withdrawal
Identify cost inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements
Systems & Technology
Ensure accurate and effective use of WellSky and Monday.com
Ensure office staff are properly utilizing agency systems
Utilize MS Word and Excel for documentation, reporting, and operational tracking
Employee Benefits & Case Oversight
Oversee employee-paid benefit programs
Oversee and manage all Workers’ Compensation cases
Oversee and manage all unemployment cases in coordination with leadership and external partners
Problem Solving & Leadership Support
Identify operational issues early and independently
Develop practical solutions and present recommendations to leadership
Provide occasional after-hours support as operational needs arise
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing a home services or healthcare-related agency
Healthcare industry experience
Experience managing and leading a team
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
Preferred
Direct home care agency operations experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college education
Experience with WellSky, Monday.com, and QuickBooks
Knowledge of or experience with Illinois Department of Aging (IDOA) regulations
