The Local RN School Support Supervisor is responsible for the clinical support of student care in educational services in alignment with district contracts. This includes managing care delivery in accordance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and personnel support related to clinical services.
The Local RN School Support Supervisor leads client management efforts, including care coordination, staff education and reeducation, and clinical quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to design and implement growth strategies for educational services
Ensures clinical staffing structures align with client goals, values, and operational efficiency
Represents the organization as the clinical subject matter expert in client meetings, RFPs, and business development presentations
Translates client clinical needs into actionable service solutions and tailored offerings
Partners with internal clinical risk and operations teams through the QAPI Program to drive quality assurance initiatives
Conducts site visits, client audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, state boards)
Stays informed on current clinical best practices, regulatory updates, and emerging industry trends
Serves as a mentor and clinical resource for field staff, supporting performance excellence
Addresses clinical concerns and service issues promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction and trust
Maintains regular communication with district partners to ensure alignment
Collaborates with District RNs, Delegating RNs, and internal clinical designees to ensure compliance with the contract and industry standards
Works closely with client leadership to align staffing practices with organizational policies and clinical protocols
Participates in clinical vetting interviews and contribute to external hiring decisions in partnership with clinical and operational leadership
Supports ongoing education and professional development initiatives for clinical staff
Reviews physician orders to assess staffing appropriateness without managing individual student‑specific care plans
Minimum Requirements:
Active Registered Nurses License in state of practice
BSN Preferred
School Nurse Certification per state requirement
School Nursing or pediatric experience required
Management Experience, preferred
Leadership/ mentorship, preferred
Business acumen, preferred
National Certified School Nurse Certification, recommended
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Participation and completion of the Company’s competency program when applicable
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x‑ray if applicable
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co‑workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
