Position Summary: The Manager of Patient and Family Housing is responsible for the daily operations of Craig Hospital’s guest housing program, serving Craig patients and their families. This position oversees all PFH operations, including on-campus housing, off-site Craig-owned housing, off-site leased housing, and future expansion opportunities. The Manager ensures that all housing environments meet Craig Hospital’s standards for safety, accessibility, hospitality, and patient-centered care. This position ensures that guests are welcomed into a caring, understanding and compassionate environment. The Manager oversees guest stays, equipment, building operations, contracting, and departmental procedures, while supervising office staff and the Environmental Services. The Manager of Patient and Family Housing is responsible for the operational performance of Craig Hospital housing properties and off-site leased housing properties to assure optimum performance and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for recruiting, training and managing Patient & Family Housing staff.
Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registrations:
Must have a current, valid, CO driver's license in good standing and insurable.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospitality setting preferred but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work efficiently and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and independently with limited supervision. Exhibits sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a dynamic environment. Basic knowledge of building operations and maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and departmental software (reservations, billing, scheduling).
Essential Functions:
Develop, administer and manage all aspects of the Patient and Family Housing Department, including departmental budget, operating plan and staffing.
Supervise Patient and Family Housing office staff and the EVS Supervisor.
Ensure guests receive compassionate, professional, and efficient service.
Oversee building, grounds and departmental equipment maintenance, repairs and replacements, and any required certifications.
Maintain accurate records, statistics, and compliance with hospital policies.
Establish written policies and procedures, job descriptions and job performance standards for all positions within the department.
Interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff; provide coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
Support staff development and professional growth.
Oversee department purchase requisitions and ordering.
Organize and prioritize work assignments, calls, and correspondence with vendors, patients, and guests.
Serve as liaison with other hospital departments to coordinate housing needs.
