Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and converting customer order information into manufacturing production work orders and for planning and reporting to supervision on customer order input rates, error rates, departmental delivery performance, workload volumes, and inventory levels. The Production Planner also assists with order rescheduling, material expediting, and communication with sales and manufacturing. Essential Functions

Analyze and interpret customer order documentation to create manufacturing work orders (cross‑referencing) for production product builds. Provide effective organizational and work management to deliver feedback to sales and manufacturing supervision, including error reports, projected workload volumes, and inventory status. Produce departmental reporting input to confirm product lead‑time scheduling information to sales. Access and navigate data using systems such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and the ERP system. Research, suggest, and document production scheduling and inventory changes based on departmental capacities and supply availability. Plan, adjust, monitor, and report required production inventories; create and expedite purchase orders as needed. Perform accurate mathematical calculations, unit conversions, and product-related formulas. Ensure work is accurate and well‑documented according to quality management system standards. Collaborate with Indium Corporation departments—sales, engineering, and quality—to obtain and provide information and evaluations. Attend training as assigned. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, or related field preferred. 1 year of experience in a diverse process manufacturing environment. APICS Planning certification preferred. Experience in product configuration and manufacturing process familiarity. Proficiency with intermediate math applications. Proficient PC skills; intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency. Highly analytical and detail‑oriented. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must provide own source of transportation for local/day travel and travel between Indium Corporation facilities. Shift / Site
