Position Overview
In our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. This full‑time 1st‑shift Mechanical Technician (CO₂ laboratory) will support our engineering laboratories by assembling CO₂ compressors for developmental testing and assisting with lab upkeep. Responsibilities
Follow engineering laboratory instructions to assemble CO₂ compressors for developmental testing. Use hand tools, power tools, cutting, welding and brazing equipment. Utilize hydraulic, electrical and mechanical schematics and exploded‑view blueprints. Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non‑standard tests or builds. Review data for compliance with applicable build standards. Perform various tasks related to laboratory upkeep. Execute required tests or builds and communicate results with engineers. Provide input on optimizing work processes to improve overall laboratory efficiency. Required Education, Experience & Skills
High school diploma plus two to three (2‑3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic mechanical, electrical skills, and/or HVAC/R. Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs. Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided. Schedule
1st shift – five to eight‑hour workdays with eligibility for voluntary overtime. Location
Our newly renovated Sidney campus features 1M square feet of manufacturing floor and an additional 120k square feet of leading‑edge lab facilities. The site is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit and offers numerous opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location. Work Authorization
