A Brief Overview
Provides direct care to patients of all ages including monitoring patients cardiac rhythm via telemetry. In addition performs clerical duties including answering the phone as needed. Helps to maintain department operations by ordering and stocking of supplies, handling of linen and transportation of patients. What You Will Do
Provides direct care, individualized to the patient’s age, and/or disabilities, under the direction of licensed professional personnel Provides age appropriate care Performs clerical duties Demonstrates decision making ability and organizational skills Maintains patient care area in organized and hazard free state Adheres to organizational policy and procedures Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education
High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Licenses and Certifications
Must pass telemetry/basic EKG dysrhythmia recognition skills (Required within 6 Months) Physical Demands
