Position Overview The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the ABA therapy organization. This role ensures financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning to support Latitude Therapy’s mission. The Controller will manage budgeting, financial reporting, payroll oversight, and internal controls, working closely with leadership to drive financial efficiency and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Ensure accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning to support operational needs.

Work alongside external billing vendors to monitor timely reimbursement and accurate reimbursement. Cross‑check for accuracy and monitor % collection.

Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including GAAP and healthcare industry‑specific requirements.

Oversee tax preparation, financial audits, and insurance‑related financial matters.

Prepare details pertaining to financial details for loans.

Work with the company accountant and legal team to organize and prepare financials appropriately.

Monitor and manage financial risks, implementing necessary safeguards.

Develop annual budgets in collaboration with leadership and department heads.

Monitor budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue growth.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Work closely with HR and payroll administrators to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Monitor compensation structures, including incentive programs and benefits costs.

Ensure payroll tax compliance and accurate reporting.

Serve as a financial advisor to the executive leadership team.

Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle management teams to optimize reimbursement processes.

Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring best practices in financial management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.

Prior experience in healthcare services required (ABA, behavioral health, or therapy services is a strong plus).
