Columbia Engineering seeks a Roadway Design Engineer to join our transportation design team. In this role, you will contribute to various roadways, highway, intersection, bicycle, and pedestrian projects, developing your technical skills while supporting project delivery. Responsibilities include creating conceptual layouts, designing roadway geometrics, developing drainage and construction staging plans, and addressing erosion and sediment control. You will work collaboratively within a team to ensure each aspect of roadway design is effectively managed.

Education and/or Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good communication and technical writing skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Desired Skills
E.I.T. or Professional Engineer License
Other applicable software such as AutoCAD
Experience with Georgia DOT roadway/highway design projects
An eagerness to learn and ability to apply your engineering skills in developing creative problem-solving designs
