Job Location: 15700 W Bluemound Rd, Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Position Type: Full-Time/Regular.

SUMMARY Proactively develop client relationships through the effective use of profiles and established bank sales processes. Responsible for coordinating bank resources to assist clients in achieving financial goals while providing products and services which produce a profit for the bank. Provides excellent service while managing relationships over time to maximize client retention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sales

Perform various sales activities approximately 80% of the time.

Maximize customer sales opportunities by cross-selling accounts and services as appropriate.

Expand portfolio relationships with high value customers by consistent profiling of appropriate customers, utilizing sales processes and behaviors to identify customers who have the potential for added value relationships, performing personal touches, evaluating customers’ financial needs, recommending solutions and asking for the business, etc.

Provide qualified investment referrals to the appropriate branch personnel.

Sell credit life and disability insurance, if licensed.

Understand and effectively sell against the competitive market.

Use the internal prospect lists to make outbound calls.

Obtain referrals from existing and high value clients.

Provide quality, personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Actively participate in sales, product knowledge, and service meetings.

Assist Territory Manager and Branch Manager in outside sales activities.

Act as backup to other sales personnel to ensure effective customer service and office coverage.

Represent the Bank at community events.

Identify mortgage loan needs and refer opportunities to a mortgage lender.

Stay current on business and economic events or conditions.

Demonstrate understanding of financial concepts including customer life stages, time value of money and make appropriate recommendations. Understand potential tax implications of financial decisions and refer customer to a tax advisor when appropriate.

Operations

Open and close the branch.

Open new accounts and perform deposit account maintenance; respond to customers promptly and courteously; be knowledgeable of all bank products and characteristics including business products, assure required forms are completed accurately and that the customer fully understands the terms and conditions of the accounts; assure the customer receives the proper disclosures.

Provide information on consumer loan products; quote rates to callers and accurately take consumer loan applications, close loans accurately.

Accurately open and perform maintenance on IRAs and advise customers about IRA and related issues.

Effectively utilize technology to accurately complete required client files, documentation, and paperwork.

Provide timely follow-up to clients by telephone, written correspondence, or personal contact.

Act in an operational supervisory role to ensure effective customer service and office coverage.

Display good business judgment when waiving fees or negotiating rates.

Monitor own work for quality and quantity to insure accuracy and efficiencies including following CIP guidelines.

Provide feedback on client concerns: product features, pricing, etc.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent and experience of at least two years in banking (or, two years in a related sales position). Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred. Proven effective sales ability and exceptional customer service skills required. Must have thorough knowledge of financial concepts. Knowledge of desktop automation tools.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS This position may require registration through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the terms of the SAFE Act of 2008. Applicants must (1) have an active NMLS ID that is in good standing, and can be transferred to North Shore Bank's registry, or (2) must be willing to register prior to start date. Your employment with North Shore Bank is contingent upon successful registration and annual re-registration thereafter.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Position duties may require occasional travel, via personal automobile, to work at different branch locations as necessary.
