Maintenance Technician B (II) Transdev

– Milwaukee, WI

Transdev is seeking an experienced B-Level Diesel Mechanic to support our fleet operations. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $24.50 – $30.50

Vacation: 2 weeks minimum

Sick days: 5 days

Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating)

Company‑paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement

Key Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.

Perform moderate and advanced repairs and replacements, including engine overhauls and rebuilds.

Assist A‑Level mechanics with advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.

Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

ASE certification(s) required; program provided if needed.

Mechanic’s tool set.

Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules.

Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam.

Physical Requirements

Work outdoors in varying temperature, weather, and humidity; may work indoors and alone.

Push, pull, lift objects up to 75 lbs; lift materials up to 50 lbs.

Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching.

Tolerate dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
