Job Description We are a positive and personable organization seeking a compassionate RN to provide integrated care in the community for individuals with behavioral health diagnoses or substance use disorders. The RN will provide general nursing care, oversight, and support for behavioral health clients, performing duties as outlined in the job description. The RN relies on education, skill, and judgment to deliver quality services with limited direction and supervision.

Education, Licensure, and Experience Requires an unencumbered Registered Nursing License. For certain behavioral health services additional requirements may apply.

Physical Requirements Required to lift at least 20 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must regularly stand and walk. Must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring hands, knees, bending, standing, lifting. Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

Pay and Bonus Pay: $37.00/hr. Sign on Bonus: $5,000.

Job Responsibilities

Utilize nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients.

Participate in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and respond to crises on a timely basis.

Following the supports and services as indicated in the recipient’s Crisis Plan.

Participating as member of interdisciplinary team, attending Person Centered Plan (PCP) meetings, developing plans as requested.

Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs.

Monitoring consumers and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.

Assisting team members with assessing learning needs of the consumers and carries out teaching as indicated.

Completing QA activities as requested and participating in the QA process.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.

Meeting the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided.

Prefer one year of nursing experience.

Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.

Some college training and/or management experience helpful.

Valid driver’s license (condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.

Maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

Essential Physical and Sensory Requirements

Regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.

Frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level; practicing CPR skills will require working on hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting.

Specific vision abilities: close vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus.

Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
