Pay Breakdown
Local Rate: $36/hour
Travel Pay (Over 50 miles):
Taxed Compensation: $468
Untaxed Stipend: $1,000
Travel Weekly Total: $1,468
Job Summary The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general and emergency nursing care to adults and children in custody within the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility. This role requires maintaining facility security standards while delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide routine and emergency nursing care to incarcerated individuals
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient health and document findings accurately
Collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to ensure safety and compliance
Maintain security protocols at all times
Minimum Requirements
Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
Minimum of one year experience in corrections (preferred)
Current CPR certification
TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
