The Type Of Pre‑licensure Psychotherapist We're Looking For
Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited program
Eligible for state licensure in Pennsylvania (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
Strong interest and passion for working with diverse populations, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a clinical setting
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Proficiency in telehealth platforms and technology
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with diverse populations and trauma‑informed care
Familiarity with evidence‑based practices such as CBT, DBT, etc.

As our Pre‑Licensure Psychotherapist at McPherson Clinical & Consulting Services, your day flows with purpose. You start by reviewing client notes and preparing for sessions, whether you're meeting in the cozy Wyncote office or connecting virtually. Each session is unique; you might guide a teenager through anxiety coping tools, support a couple in conflict, or help a family navigate life transitions. In between, you collaborate with your peers, gain insights through clinical supervision, and document your sessions with care. You feel supported, empowered, and aligned with your mission to deliver culturally competent, impactful therapy.
