About the Unit
2 North is a 22‑bed short‑stay surgical unit specializing in women’s health surgeries, plastic surgery, urologic surgery and general surgery. The unit also manages inpatient and observation medical patients. The unit is fast‑paced; teamwork and quality patient care are priorities. A new team member should have strong critical thinking, assessment and clinical decision‑making skills. Scope of Work
The RN, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care. The RN works under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. The RN partners with patient/family input to plan care, develops teaching strategies for patient/family and documents education and learning appropriately in the health record. Qualifications
Associates in Nursing Required Bachelor’s in Nursing Required within 5 years Graduates from a non‑accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
