Design Engineer
Our client, a leading organization in the semiconductor and integrated circuit industry, is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer, you will be part of the DFT/ATPG engineering department supporting the development of cutting‑edge SoC solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a global team environment.
Job Title Design Engineer
Location Santa Clara, CA
What's the Job?
Perform scan/ATPG testing of advanced System‑on‑Chip (SoC) designs.
Participate in chip‑level flow development, pattern retargeting, and simulation activities.
Generate and simulate test patterns, ensuring scan timing and test coverage.
Collaborate with test engineering teams for successful silicon bring‑up of scan patterns.
Work on complex DFT flows, including scan compression and retargeting flows at IP and SoC levels.
What's Needed?
Experience with Siemens Tessent ATPG and Tessent SSN tools.
Proficiency in logic design using Verilog, with experience in synthesis and STA.
Hands‑on experience with RTL, gate‑level, and SDF simulation environments.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Perl and Tcl, and familiarity with Linux environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across diverse, cross‑functional teams.
