Job Description The Financial Advisor (FA) role is a three-year program with a forgivable draw. It is designed for financial advisors or planners who will provide financial planning guidance and sell investment management solutions. A FA will leverage their experience to service the unique and complex needs of TD Wealth clients, reviewing financial goals and making investment recommendations aligned to client objectives. The role serves as the central point of contact, responsible for client service and relationship development to achieve greater share of wallet by helping clients attain asset accumulation, preservation, growth, and protection.
Depth & Scope
Experience selling investments and providing financial plans
Customer‑centric service delivery to maximize retention and growth
Complete client onboarding, discovery, financial needs analysis, and documentation
Partner and promote lead generation
Prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Provide a planning experience for new and existing clients
Implement an annual client review (ACR) with an enhanced agenda
Serve as primary contact for TD Wealth client relationships; refer to Retail and Wealth partners as needed
Execute differentiated service model/experience for TD Wealth clients
Meet quarterly and annual sales goals
Deepen wallet share by anticipating client needs and suggesting Wealth solutions
Identify opportunities within the portfolio and network to refer business to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners
Comply with regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., OCC, SEC, SRO)
Ensure all Continuing Education requirements are met
Adhere to TD Bank & TD Wealth policies and procedures
Implement TD’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) and related due diligence
Uncover client asset needs and transition higher‑threshold clients to appropriate HNW partners
Foster a positive, constructive work environment and provide coaching to Retail and Small Business staff
Represent TD Wealth professionally in the community and support TDBG charity and initiatives
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
2+ years providing advice, planning, and investment sales
SIE, Series 7, Series 63 required
Required to obtain L&H and Series 66 (or equivalent) or be able to obtain them self‑directed
Advanced understanding of wealth products and services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Travel within assigned market to meet prospects, clients, and partners five days a week
Ability to commute within assigned territory
Experience in wealth‑management business development and retail banking client interaction
Consultative sales experience required
Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and partner with other departments
Proven ability to achieve sales goals

Deliver WOW level service to internal partners, vendors, and customers
