*Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description*
*Job Overview*
Were looking for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist who wants to work at the forefront of advanced cardiac imaging. This role offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art PET/CT technology, support highly specialized cardiac studies, and contribute to a program focused on accuracy, safety, and exceptional patient care.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide clear explanations of procedures and help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
* Apply all radiation-safety principles to protect patients, yourself, and staff during every step of the imaging process.
* Operate and adjust nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment for each exam, ensuring optimal image quality and proper patient positioning.
* Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol; verify correct dosing for each study.
* Closely monitor patients for any unexpected reactions and respond appropriately.
* Acquire high-quality images, including repeat or additional views as needed based on physician guidance.
* Document procedures, doses, QC checks, and patient information with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Follow all regulatory and institutional requirements for radiation safety, waste handling, and equipment QC.
* Support daily workflow of the cardiac PET/CT program, including QA tasks, room prep, and scanner readiness.
*Qualifications*
Associate degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
* Active certification through ARRT(N) or CNMT.
Ideally at least 3 years of nuclear medicine experience, including PET or PET/CT.
* Current BLS certification.
* Strong communication skills, a calm patient-focused approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced cardiac environment. * Current BLS
