Responsibilities
Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Evaluate staffing pattern needed to meet resident needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
Administer medication/treatments as prescribed.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders.
Implement and evaluate care plans.
Identify and secure equipment supplies.
Direct and oversee subordinates.
Participate in duty assignments.
Organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
Oversee and monitor function and activities of subordinate staff.
Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate action, discipline, or training.
Monitor infection control compliance.
Investigate and document accidents/incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Current, valid RN licensure.
Experience in long‑term healthcare (preferred).
Management/supervisory experience (required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills.
