Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Implementation: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance their physical function and promote recovery. Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
Modalities and Physical Agents: Ensure proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust parameters as needed.
Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Document patient progress and changes in functional status. Communicate regularly with the supervising physical therapist and collaborate on adjustments to the treatment plan.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current license/certification in the state of practice
