Overview
Registered Nurse - Full Time - Nights - Acute Care 2W at Guthrie (Corning Hospital Acute Care 2W). Position details: Full Time - Nights - 36 hours per week. Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities
Provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Deliver coordinated, safe, compassionate, evidence-based quality care to patients and families based on individual needs. Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics and standards of practice. Develop and coordinate the plan of care to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes; monitor and communicate patient condition; maintain essential competencies. Advocate for ethical and holistic care; participate in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, and values of patients served. Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, students, and the healthcare team. Align practice with safety and quality; use data and evidence to improve patient outcomes; ensure safety for patients and staff. Engage in ongoing professional development and practice at the top of license within legal parameters. Demonstrate leadership, delegate appropriately, coordinate care, and collaborate with the inter-professional team. Participate in planning and presentation of educational programs. Other duties as assigned within the position scope. Qualifications
Registered Nurse licensed in the state of employment. BSN preferred; effective date arrangements for obtaining a Bachelor's degree may apply per agreement. Specialty certification preferred; BLS certification; ACLS unit-dependent. At least one year of RN experience required; exceptions may apply for transitions from New Graduate/Residency programs. Maintain BLS; unit-specific educational requirements per Nursing Department. Experience & Skills
Proficiency with electronic health records and healthcare IT systems. Ability to work with a wide range of inter-disciplinary staff; independent, critical judgment in patient care. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities and urgent situations. Benefits & Compensation
