Join the McLaren Health Care team as a Dayshift Per Diem Registered Nurse within our Hospice department.
Department & Shift Department: Hospice Shift: Days On call: Yes Weekends: Yes Daily work times: Varies
Primary Responsibilities
Perform basic patient‑care procedures, including medication administration.
Organize patient care effectively.
Collect assessment data (age, physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status) in an ongoing, systematic manner.
Review and evaluate assessment data collected by caregivers.
Develop a plan of care prescribing nursing actions to achieve patient goals.
Identify patient/family learning needs and implement appropriate education from admission to discharge.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS).
Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) – required for certain units.
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
One year of experience in the department’s clinical specialty.
Current Michigan driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance with a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
