Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university

LMSW or LPC licensed in Michigan; licensure for internal candidates pursuing full licensure.

Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services.

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use).

Essential Job Functions

Provides individual and/or group consulting to school district staff using mental health consultation best practices with partnering school districts in Oakland County.

Provides on-demand crisis intervention with partnering districts via person, telehealth, or phone.

Provide professional development webinar and presentations.

Connect school staff with resources to assist with engaging or accessing behavioral health services in Oakland County.

Attending district collaborative meetings as requested.

May be responsible for maintaining an electronic record which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and individual rights documents.

Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review duties and progress with school districts.

Responsible for full compliance of obtaining and maintaining certification with CAFAS/PECFAS/LOCUS.

Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with grant/funder requirements as well as Easterseals policies and procedures.

Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma-informmed care and co-occurring disorders.

Willingness to support and assist individuals served with trauma-related issues utilizing TFCBT, CBITS and/or trauma-informed practices.

Attend school meetings/provide consultation as outlined with school district(s).

Maintain school partnerships by respecting school policies and personnel, speaking the language within schools, i.e., PBIS, MTSS, etc.

Provide community trainings and/or participate in community/school events to promote Easterseals services.

Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effects. Has the ability to utilize different systems of communication with internal and external customers such as Microsoft Teams, eVisit, Zoom and iPhone.
