Overview
Oncology Infusion Pharmacy Technician (PRN Pharmacy Tech) at Emory Healthcare. Responsible for procuring, preparing, packaging, and distributing prescription drugs and pharmaceutical supplies under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Maintains IV records, patient profiles, and prepares sterile products.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Individuals with experience and not yet certified may be hired contingent on achieving certification within one year of employment.
Must be registered with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
Certification must be maintained through continuing education requirements for continued employment.
Certification as a pharmacy technician by completion of an accredited technician training program, by national exam, or current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
Demonstrates mathematical skills required to calculate and prepare dilutions, reconstitutions and compounded products.
Physical Requirements Medium: lifting 20‑50 lbs occasionally (0‑33% of work day), 11‑25 lbs frequently (34‑66% of work day), 1‑10 lbs constantly (67‑100% of work day). Lifting up to 50 lbs max, carrying objects up to 25 lbs. Requires occasional to frequent standing & walking, occasional sitting, close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing). Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
Environmental Factors Environmental exposures may include blood‑borne pathogens, bio‑hazardous waste, chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required.
