Key Responsibilities
Perform walk‑through assessments of assembly and machining cells, validating compliance with documented work instructions, safety rules, and quality checkpoints.
Cross‑reference published SOPs with observed practices, flagging gaps and recommending corrective actions that boost first‑pass yield.
Capture non‑conformances and skill variances in an audit log, then collaborate with Learning & Development to schedule targeted up‑skilling.
Coach operators in real time, reinforcing best‑practice techniques that minimize scrap and downtime.
Audit travelers, inspection logs, and other production records for completeness and traceability.
Consolidate audit data into weekly dashboards, analyzing trends and highlighting high‑impact improvement projects.
Partner with trainers to refresh onboarding content and create micro‑learning modules driven by audit insights.
Participate in Kaizen events and Lean projects, sharing frontline observations to accelerate process optimization.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary technical coursework a plus.
3+ years in a high‑mix manufacturing setting with exposure to quality auditing, training, or process control.
Keen eye for detail, strong verbal feedback skills, and the confidence to coach peers on the production floor.
Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, ERP or MES data entry).
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills highly valued.
Physical & Work Environment
Ability to stand and walk the production floor for 8–10 hour shifts.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs on occasion.
Typical manufacturing surroundings include PPE, noise, and moving machinery.
