Job Summary: We are in search of an FPGA Engineer (Mid/Sr) to embark on a journey of designing and validating FPGA creations. This position invites you to collaborate with a dedicated team of FPGA design and verification engineers. The primary focus is on space solid-state data recorders (SSDRs) and System in Package (SiP) firmware solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to research, development, integration, and verification of modular firmware solutions for intricate microelectronic components spanning various FPGA providers.
Craft and enhance test firmware for design verification and production validation, with a sharp focus on coverage, performance, and more.
Create module-level verification using HDL simulations to ensure robust design.
Execute verification simulations, meticulously analyze the results, and diligently document the findings.
Play a vital role in developing firmware requirements and specifications.
Collaborate closely with the design team to replicate, investigate, and resolve customer concerns.
Support the design team in the setup and testing of software products.
Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding and potentially training junior professionals and technical staff.
Show a willingness to assist the team in areas that go beyond your specific technical discipline.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
Boast a minimum of 5 years of experience in firmware development and verification.
Possess proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog development.
Navigate FPGA timing constraints and ensure timing closure.
Have experience with Quartus and/or Vivado design workflows.
Familiarity with FPGA design simulation, with a preference for ModelSim or Questasim.
Capable of designing complex cores by leveraging existing IP libraries.
Knowledgeable about industry-standard interfaces such as AXI, DDR4, PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C.
Familiar with UVM/UVMF.
Must be a U.S. Person.
Exhibit effectiveness as an individual contributor and a valuable team player.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with FPGA development kits and bench-top test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and more.
Proficiency in FPGA power estimation tools.
Familiarity with Intel AIB and/or Xilinx XSR interfaces.
Experience with embedded software development.
Knowledge of the LabView programming language.
Exposure to Design for Test (DFT) practices.
Proficiency with the Atlassian tool suite, including Confluence and JIRA.
