Emergency Vehicle Installation Technician.
The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and/or automotive experience and will play a critical role in ensuring that our first responders operate safe, reliable, and effective vehicles. The
Emergency Vehicle Installation Technicians
are tasked with installing the following equipment: Emergency Vehicle Lighting and Control Systems, Sirens, Prisoner Transport Systems, Radios, Radar, In-Car-Camera Systems, License Plate Readers, Equipment Consoles and Cargo Cabinets, Weapon and Drone mounting systems, and front push bars.
If you love solving problems, are mechanically and electrically inclined, and working with your hands, this job is for you.
Responsibilities
Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts
Installation of specialized emergency vehicle parts: Lightbars, Emergency Lighting, Push Bumpers, Sirens, Controllers, Speakers, Partitions, Window Bars, Prisoner seats, Gun racks, Car Video, Computers, License Plate Recognition, and much more
Follow in-shop clean-up and safety duties
Keep tools and inventory neat and orderly
May be required to provide your own hand tools
Attributes of a Strong Candidate
Mechanical or Electrical Experience
Comfortable using hand tools (drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
Detail-oriented and hands-on
Able to work independently in a team environment
Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in/around vehicles
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Valid driver's license and clean record
Compensation $20 - $30 per hour, based on experience.
Higher pay may be considered
for candidates with industry experience and knowledge.
Productivity & performance bonuses after successful completion of training and introductory period.

Schedule FAMILY FRIENDLY SCHEDULE - Monday- Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. Full Time-Hourly with opportunities for overtime
Location Initial training will take place at our Millstone, New Jersey, location for approximately the first 60 days. Upon completion of training, the regular work location will be Edison, New Jersey.
