Licensed Practical Nurse – Villa Healthcare
Location: Villa at Borgess Place, 3057 Gull Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49048
Shift: 6PM to 10PM (16 hours per week)
Base Pay Range $33.40/hr – $37.40/hr

Responsibilities
Provide licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Perform resident assessments/observations and interventions, reviewing care plans to ensure appropriate care.
Take and record vital signs; administer catheter care, IV therapy, oxygen, nebulizer treatments as ordered within license limitations.
Chart nurse’s notes in an informative, descriptive manner reflecting care provided and resident’s response.
Ensure resident environment is free from accidents and hazards; immediately correct/address potential safety risks.
Monitor and direct non-licensed ancillary services as deemed necessary to maintain professional standards.
Communicate/report information to residents, families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards and correct non-compliance promptly.
Follow HIPAA compliance policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
CPR trained with current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Understand and follow infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.
Positive, effective, and appropriate interaction with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and facility staff.
Education and Experience
Licensed Practical Nurse degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
Current LPN license in the State of Michigan.
One year of experience preferred.
Long‑term care experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without aid of mechanical devices.
Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards; understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.
