Job Summary Shift: 3 12‑hour days, Weekends Saturday - Monday. The Physical Therapist performs examinations, evaluations, establishes plans of care, daily treatment, documentation, coordination with interdisciplinary team, program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
Performs comprehensive examination of patients, completes evaluation, and formulates individualized plan of care.
Provides evidence‑based quality patient treatment, education, and monitors patient physiological status during sessions.
Completes accurate and thorough documentation in a timely manner following regulatory policies.
Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
Consistently meets departmental productivity target.
Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.
May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworker after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.
Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance; reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated before 2002, Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated before 2016, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Experience as a PT in an acute care setting.
Current AHA BLS (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting in this position).
