This position is for a Donor Technician with our Mobile Team at the Flowood location. As a Donor Technician, you will serve blood donors and assist them in donating the necessary blood components to save lives. No experience required; the employer offers a paid training program with a career ladder for advancement based on skill development.
Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service to donors in a friendly, supportive, and professional manner.
Perform registration, donor screening, safety procedures, and venipuncture accurately and efficiently.
Manage two donor beds and perform accurate computer data entry and paperwork documentation.
Calibrate and maintain cleanliness of equipment before and after collection activities.
Assist in loading supplies, setup, and breakdown of mobile units.
Maintain current CPR certification and an excellent attendance record.
Help perform pre‑trip inspections on vehicles and maintain interior cleanliness of all mobile units.
Assist in ensuring all supplies are packed and ready for mobiles.
Operate mobile units on a PRN basis when required.
Attend all required meetings and travel to various locations in Mississippi as part of the team.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Stable work history; prior experience or training desirable.
Basic computer skills and accurate data entry (typing test will be given).
Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
Flexibility to meet fluctuating schedules, frequent travel, overnight travel, and out‑of‑town mobiles.
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a friendly manner.
Attention to detail, ability to work accurately under guidelines, and capacity to keep a faster than average pace.
Willingness to obtain a CDL is a definite plus.
Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies up to 110 lbs with assistance.
Must pass pre‑employment drug testing.
