Position Details
Location: Remote (must reside in the state of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina)
Status: PRN (non-benefit eligible)
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Days: Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
Assign diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems and monitor bill hold reports.
Assist Manager/Director with mentoring/training of Coder I team members and clinical practice students from various colleges.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures
Preferred: CCS (Coding)
Preferred: RHIT (Health Information)
Education
Required: high school or equivalent
Preferred: associate degree in Health Information Management
Experience
Required: 2 years of Coding
