Position Registered Dietitian – Sylvania, OH & Oregon, OH

Location Sylvania, OH and Oregon, OH

Schedule Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Compensation $23.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on years of experience

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapies.

Collaborate with medical staff, patients, families and food service to ensure nutrition care plans are implemented and standards maintained.

Perform nutritional assessments and re‑assessments, identify goals, recommend interventions, monitor and evaluate progress.

Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition regimens.

Work with Speech Therapy to progress textured diets for patient safety and optimize oral intake.

Clarify admission orders for consistency with the facility’s formulary and diet manual.

Consider religious, cultural and ethnic factors in nutrition care plans.

Review yearly updates and approve the therapeutic diet manual annually; educate staff on manual location.

Maintain hard copy of simplified diet manual for downtime.

Stay current with nutrition practices and theories; maintain professional registration requirements.

Evaluate food/drug and herb/supplement interactions.

Attend interdisciplinary meetings and communicate progress and special needs.

Participate in menu development, planning and standardization.

Perform meal rounds to ensure trays match prescribed diet and meet quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.

Current state licensure/certification, if required.

Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.

One year of clinical experience in a facility setting or equivalent.
