Dual Concept Design
ROLE OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for managing high‑end residential interior design projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring a seamless and elevated client experience at every phase. Responsibilities also include managing all aspects of the design process, including direct communication with clients and vendors, conducting site measurements, and producing detailed floor plans, elevations, construction documents, and shop drawings using AutoCAD. The position also leads FF&E sourcing and procurement, creates comprehensive design presentations, and works in close coordination with all trades to ensure the successful delivery and installation of a fully finished home.
This is a full‑time employee position at a senior level, reporting to the principals. The role is based on‑site, with flexibility for occasional remote work and is compensated on a salary basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage high‑end residential interior design projects from initial concept through completion.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct field measurements and develop accurate floor plans, elevations, construction documents, and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
Create furniture plans, layouts, and design concepts that align with client goals and project scope.
Create, manage, and track project budgets.
Source, specify, and procure furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) in alignment with project budgets and timelines.
Create clear, compelling design presentations for client review and approval.
Track orders, lead times, and deliveries.
Maintain organized project documentation, schedules, and correspondence related to logistics and procurement.
Enter and maintain all project‑related data in office software, including specifications, proposals, purchase orders, and invoices.
Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and all trades to ensure proper execution of design intent.
Oversee deliveries and installations to ensure a completed project that is to the firm’s design standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field.
5+ years of residential interior design experience.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience utilizing Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
SKILLS & CORE COMPETENCIES Project Management
Ability to create, manage, and track project budgets.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with FF&E sourcing, specifications, procurement, and logistics.
Maintaining accurate documentation, schedules, and logistics throughout a project.
Confident decision‑making and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Detail‑oriented approach to timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
Exceptional client‑facing communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage client expectations.
Strong relationship‑building skills with vendors and trades.
Technical Design Skills
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for floor plans, elevations, space planning, custom millwork, and construction documentation.
Ability to translate conceptual ideas into clear, buildable design solutions.
Experience with 3D rendering software (preferred, but not required).
Experience entering and managing all project related data to Studio Designer (preferred, but not required).
Experience with Photoshop (preferred, but not required).
