The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Function as a Subject Matter Specialist for pumping systems related to the design of mechanical systems supporting Water & Wastewater Treatment processes.
Contribute to projects related to Water and Wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and conveyance focused in Florida, as well as throughout the US.
Work collaboratively with various design engineering execution teams across the US and abroad with an emphasis on work in Florida.
Leverage technical expertise with leadership responsibilities by guiding design teams and mentoring early career professionals.
Engage directly with clients across Florida.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Analysis : Perform engineering calculations, develop system performance parameters, and create detailed design documents (P&IDs, mechanical layouts, specifications).
Leadership & Mentorship : Teach and guide engineers in system design best practices.
Collaboration & Coordination : Work with equipment manufacturers, other disciplines, and project stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
Quality Assurance : Review submittals and ensure compliance with B&V standards.
Client Engagement & Site Work : Conduct site visits for assessments and client interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience with developing detailed design and technical specifications for pumps and piping systems.
Strong candidates are expected to have knowledge and experience related to the design, specification, and related engineering tasks associated with pumping systems and plant hydraulics. Candidates that also have knowledge related to blowers and aeration systems, anaerobic digestion, heating water boilers, heat exchangers, and steel piping systems may also be beneficial.
Experience in material and component selection for pumping and piping systems.
Experience with identifying optimal pump sizing and selection for pump station facilities.
Experience with defining pump station operational control strategies/plans.
Strong understanding of hydraulic principles.
Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively through written documentation and verbal presentations.
Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Certifications Professional Engineering license preferred.
Work Environment and Schedule
This position would require working in a typical office environment. The position may entail prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, and the professional would ideally be able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. The position may also be require physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
Approximately 15 percent travel.
