The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in DeWitt seeking experienced Tool Makers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.

Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.

Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications.

Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.

Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling to ensure longevity and consistent performance.

Adhere to all safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the tool-making process.

Recommended Qualifications

Journeyman Tool Maker certification or 5+ years of equivalent experience.

Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).

Expertise in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.

Demonstrated skill in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs).

Strong understanding of various materials (metals, alloys, plastics) and their machining properties.

Bonus Qualifications

CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)

Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)

Basic welding or fabrication skills

Prior experience with EDM or Wire EDM processes
