Job Overview Valley Custom Woodwork Inc is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Estimator to join our growing team of millwork professionals. This role is critical in helping us deliver custom‑built solutions for high‑end residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects. While prior experience in estimating is required, we are ready to train the right candidate in our proven methods and systems.

Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
Analyze labor, materials, and time requirements for custom millwork and cabinetry projects
Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing for materials and outsourced work
Prepare detailed proposals and present bids to internal teams or clients
Work closely with project managers and designers to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets
Update pricing models and maintain cost databases
Participate in pre‑construction planning and budgeting discussions
Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality
Help transition awarded projects from estimating to production seamlessly
Qualifications
Experience in a similar estimating or construction role – millwork background highly preferred
Strong understanding of reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
High level of comfort with numbers, measurements, and cost modeling
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
