The CRA Strategy & Program Management (S&PM) team partners with lines of business across the enterprise to sustain Capital One’s outstanding CRA performance. We maintain high data quality and control standards, develop and support effective strategies, and manage CRA examinations by demonstrating how the bank meets the lending, investment, and service needs of the communities where we do business.
The CRA S&PM team seeks a self‑motivated individual to play a critical risk‑management role on our Data Management, Analysis, Technology and Automation (DATA) team, responsible for data management, analysis, and regulatory reporting of CRA and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data. The ideal candidate will monitor and review the completeness of regulatory data processes and support quality assurance according to the team’s data compliance and reporting controls.
Responsibilities
Support governance, risk, and compliance controls management functions
Assist with internal control design, implementation, and monitoring
Track execution of risk and control activities and prepare management reports
Assist with team organization and response to internal audits and regulatory compliance exams
Monitor regulatory data integrity compliance training execution and tools
Manage the team’s annual job aid and procedure document update exercises
Assist with preparations related to the annual submission of complete and accurate CRA and HMDA Loan Registers to the appropriate regulatory agency
Qualifications The successful candidate will have:
Strong problem‑solving, oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize
Very strong attention to detail with a focus on data and quality control
Demonstrated ability to work independently, perform, and influence others in a fast‑paced environment
Propensity to identify and assess potential risks in processes
Experience assisting in updating team policies and standards
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree or military experience
At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance or audit roles
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
At least 2 years of experience in governance, risk management, or compliance roles
Experience using CRA Wiz software to process and maintain regulatory data

Salary and Incentives McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 Plano, TX: $106,700 - $121,700 Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700
This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives may be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
