About Role We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in taxation, VAT compliance, and government portal management. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and QuickBooks, ensuring accurate financial management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities Tax & VAT Compliance:

Handle VAT and tax compliance, including filing tax returns, VAT declarations, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Manage tax reporting and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Oversee government tax portals, ensuring all reports and filings are up to date.

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and suggest updates to financial policies.

Assist in tax audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage supplier accounts.

Reconcile AP transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.

Monitor payment schedules, ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms.

Maintain records of all vendor payments and expenses.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Manage customer invoicing, payment collections, and reconciliations.

Track aging reports, follow up on outstanding receivables, and manage collection efforts.

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve disputes or discrepancies.

Ensure accurate recording of revenue and cash application.

General Accounting & Reporting:

Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in QuickBooks.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for tax-related matters.

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all accounting transactions.

Support financial audits and compliance reviews

Requirements

Previous experience utilizing QuickBooks accounting software is required.

2-3 years of experience in accounting, tax, VAT, AP, and AR.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in tax, VAT, and government portal management.

Excellent proficiency in accounting software

Strong numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail

Commitment to productivity and confidentiality

Advanced degree in Accounting; possessing a CPA or CMA certification would be advantageous
