As a Senior Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Product Agility team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your deep technical expertise and problem solving capabilities to drive significant business impact and tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple data pipelines, data architectures, and other data consumers.
Job responsibilities
Provides recommendationsandinsight on data management, governance procedures,andintricacies applicable to the acquisition, maintenance, validation, andutilization of data Designs and delivers trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way Defines database back-up,recovery, and archivingstrategy Generates advanced data models for one or more teams using firm wide tooling, linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms Approves data analysis toolsandprocesses Creates functional andtechnicaldocumentationsupporting bestpractices Advises junior engineers and technologists Evaluates and reports onaccesscontrol processes todetermineeffectiveness of dataasset security Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required Extensive working experience with bothrelational and NoSQL databases Advanced understanding of database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategies Extensive experience working with Tableau, SharePoint, Alteryx, WordPress and HTML Demonstrated experience in crafting and deploying holistic technical solutions that align with business goals and tackle specific organizational challenges Advanced knowledge of linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms Proficient in creating and deploying data models and data architecture Confident in presenting and delivering visual data to senior leadership Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and a proactive approach Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and business stakeholders Experience with big data technologies and tools for data storage, processing, and analysis
