SeniorEnvironmental Field Technician to join our team in Houston, TX office. This position is an integral part of our contamination, assessment, and remediation (CAR) business group and requires a diverse array of responsibilities. Working on a diverse range of projects, this role is a “hands on” field position requiring travel and occasional overnight work throughout the region. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Support both large and small projects throughout the region Inspection, maintenance, monitoring and sampling of environmental groundwater wells Ensure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner with respect to applicable OSHA, GHD and client standards. Majority of work will be performed in bulk storage terminals and refineries environments. Generate litigation quality field notes and enter collected field data electronically to database programs Correspondence with certified laboratory and shipping of collected samples Perform site inspections and collection of assessment field data including soil, surface water and air Operations and maintenance, troubleshooting and oversight of remedial equipment including groundwater extraction systems, soil vapor extraction, dual phase extraction and related environmental remediation equipment Work directly with clients and contractors What you will bring to the team: Annual up to date OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Ability to perform field work wearing a respirator (medically cleared) Commitment to safety utilizing a behavior-based safety culture in all aspects of the job Strong mechanical, electrical and computer aptitude Ability to work extended hours and travel out of town Physically capable of working in non-ideal conditions, such as hot/cold temperatures, wet weather, outside, and around loud equipment and traversing rough terrains Ability to be a self-starter, flexible, team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision in a drug-free workplace Ability to analyze field readings, data, and operating parameters to optimize system operations Responsibilities Data Collection and Analysis:

Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. Solutions Analysis:

Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents. Engineering Drawings:

Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions. Engineering Solutions Design:

Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design. Health, Safety, and Environment:

Follow the organization’s health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate. Personal Capability Building:

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Operational Compliance:

Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate. Testing:

Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards. Waste Management:

Support waste management efforts, aiding in waste reduction programs, waste segregation, storage, transportation, and disposal. Technical Troubleshooting:

Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments. Experience Greater than 10-years environmental media remediation system(s) operation and maintenance, and sampling field experience.
