Core Hours BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday‑Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational needs. Most positions perform work on‑site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. Flex‑time schedules allow an employee to start as early as 7:00 am or as late as 8:30 am, based on supervisor approval.

What You’ll Be Doing Receives direction from IT Manager 1 to independently install, maintain, configure, upgrade and administer hardware and/or software, network administration, Windows endpoint administration, information security, and network connectivity, AD (Active Directory), and multiple technology domains. Uses technical work knowledge to evaluate, select, adapt & modify standard procedures.

Assisting Endpoint Engineering team to devise new approaches to problems encountered.

Using Qualys reporting to identify and patch security vulnerabilities with SCCM/MECM, BigFix, and Qualys Patching.

Performing Windows endpoint administration (system updates, patching, provisioning, account management & privileges, file system organization & optimization, data archival, job scheduling, disaster recovery, system performance management, security, log management).

Using SCCM/MECM to diagnose, analyze & resolve issues for customers across multiple technology domains.

Using Qualys and/or SCCM daily to review and monitor enterprise security systems.

Qualifications Required Experience and/or Education

48 months combined work experience in any combination of installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, and administering multiple technology domains, including 12 months in the primary technology, or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems with 30 months combined work experience, or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems with 24 months combined work experience. Or equivalent minimum class qualifications.

Unusual Working Conditions

Overtime may be required.

BWC OCSEA Selection Rights This position shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of the OCSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. BWC bargaining unit members have selection rights before non‑bargaining unit members. All other applications will only be considered if an internal bargaining unit applicant is not selected for this position.

Salary Information Hourly wage is expected to be paid at step 1 of the pay range associated with the position. Current employees will be placed in the appropriate step. Movement to the next step after six months, then annually. COLA and longevity supplements may apply.

Transportation Position may require travel; therefore, persons occupying this position must be able to provide own transportation or legally operate a state‑owned vehicle.
