The Role Supervises shiftly Dosimetry laboratory operations, including obtaining and maintaining applicable qualifications and level of knowledge, supervising staff, and ensuring all work is completed according to applicable standards. Evaluates, implements, and controls company’s radioactive waste management programs and procedures to protect against radiation hazards. Recommends and develops policies for inspection standards, decontamination procedures, emergency procedures, waste handling, and disposal services. Controls personnel radiation exposures, environmental releases, and surface-type contaminants. Stays abreast of federal, state, local, and industry radiation protection regulations and ensures that radiation levels are in compliance with standards. May develop and direct radiation training and monitoring programs.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent in education, training and experience), plus a minimum of 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 2 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have
Prior experience in Dosimetry laboratory operations and/or NNPP Radiation Health strongly preferred.
