Overview
The Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences, Division of Medical Genetics and Genomics (DMGG) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a full-time geneticist with expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric and adult patients with metabolic and genetic disorders.
The successful candidate will join a distinguished faculty with established expertise in clinical and biochemical genetics and will have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple practice areas within medical genetics.
Responsibilities
Initiating and managing treatment for patients identified through the newborn screening program.
Providing inpatient consultations for the metabolic service.
Delivering both inpatient and outpatient clinical genetics care.
Program context Candidates with a special interest in metabolic diseases will work as part of an innovative, multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, genetic counselors, social workers and a patient coordinator—within our Program for Inherited Metabolic Diseases.
