Environmental Technician
Join a dynamic team within a large nationwide environmental company as an Environmental Technician. You will play a crucial role in managing and transporting waste materials, ensuring proper handling and sorting of hazardous and non-hazardous substances. This is a second shift role and will go from 12 pm to 8:30 pm Monday through Friday. The starting pay will be between $18 – $21 an hour.
Responsibilities
Transport drums of waste and load them into hoppers.
Identify and categorize drums based on their labels.
Load and offload drums onto and from trucks.
Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste and place them in designated areas within the warehouse.
Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping and organizing.
Essential Skills
Experience in construction and environmental science.
Knowledge of Hazwoper and general labor practices.
Mechanical skills and experience in environmental remediation.
Strong troubleshooting abilities.
At least 1 year of experience in environmental labor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
40‑Hour Hazwoper certification is a plus, but not required as training will be provided.
OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
A proactive attitude and desire to build a career in the environmental field.
