The Training Manager is responsible for delivering, designing, and continuously improving learning and development programs that support corporate professionals and multi‑functional field‑based teams. This role serves as a training generalist with responsibility for instructor‑led platform training, virtual facilitation, on‑the‑job training, LMS content standards, vendor relationships, and learning journey program design. The Training Manager partners with functional leaders to align training strategy with business priorities, safety requirements, operational excellence, and talent development goals while supporting scalable, data‑driven learning solutions. A high degree of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and a passion for growing the company and its team members is essential for success in this role.

Essential Job Functions

Facilitate, develop, and evaluate instructor‑led, virtual, digital, on‑demand, and on‑the‑job training programs. Scope includes facilitation of the company’s professional development programs designed for career pathing and retaining top talent.

Lead enterprise new‑hire team member onboarding, role‑based training, and competency‑based learning programs.

Facilitate learning journey programs and reinforce through coaching, field observation, and skill validation.

Highly involved in top talent programs from talent assessments, talent reviews, and high‑potential professional development plans.

Support training delivery for corporate events and supplier‑related product training.

Partner with sales leadership on cementing sales methodologies; ensure product training resources and events are current for sales use in pitches, contracts, and green‑field territories.

Actively engaged in ensuring acquisition businesses are successfully integrated into the company’s training and development programs.

Manage and maintain training content within the LMS (e.g., Litmos) and other TMS technologies, ensuring accessibility and relevance.

Monitor and analyze training effectiveness through participant feedback, performance metrics, LMS reports and KPIs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of learning and development program design, delivery, tools, and related technologies.

Knowledge of modern training methodologies and adult learning principles.

Skilled in facilitating engaging workshops and instructional‑led training (ILT) and virtual instructor‑led training (VILT).

Skilled in delivering responsive, high‑quality customer service.

Ability to analyze learning data and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities This Position Has No Supervisory Responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position operates in a blended environment, including both corporate office and field or classroom settings. The role requires periods of sitting at a desk while developing materials and working on a computer, as well as standing for extended periods while facilitating training sessions or workshops.

This is not a remote job and is required to be based in the corporate headquarters.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times (training materials or equipment).

Planned Business Travel

This job may require up to 20% business travel for regional workshops, sales events, or training facilitation.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.

7+ years of experience in a professional training and/or learning and development role at a $1B+ company required.

Experience in the industrial services sector and with sales professionals is a plus.

Must have platform training experience and SME‑level familiarity with talent management strategies.
